Abstract:

Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit einem Thema der NS-Rundfunkgeschichte. Die Autorin stellt dabei die Live-Übertragung von der Amtseinführung des ersten nationalsozialistischen Intendanten des Westdeutschen Rundfunks, Dr. Heinrich Glasmeier, am 24.4.1933 durch den Reichspropagandaminister Joseph Goebbels im Funkhaus in Köln vor. Ein Transkript der Tonquelle beinhaltet die einführende Reportage zur Ankunft des Ministers im Funkhaus sowie die Festreden im Großen Sendesaal, u.a. mit Goebbels’ programmatischer, bisher noch nicht edierter Rede über die Aufgaben des Rundfunks im NS-Staat, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Bevölkerung des Rheinlandes und ihre Mentalität.

The contribution treats of one subject in the history of broadcasting during the »Third Reich«. The author presents the live broadcast of the inauguration of the first National Sozialist director of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk, Heinrich Glasmeier, by Reichsminister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, at the Cologne radio station on April 24, 1933. A transcription of the original recording includes the introducing coverage of the minister’s arrival at the radio station, as well as the ceremonial addresses held in the Main Transmitting Hall. Among others there is Goebbels’s programmatic speech about the tasks of broadcasting in the Nazi-state, especially with an eye on the inhabitants of the Rhineland and their mentality. This address has not been published so far.
